I work with plant-soil interactions in flooded systems. From root-soil relationships at the microscale, I move up to plant communities their dynamics along abiotic stress gradients. Currently, my interest focuses on salinity stress, the role of humic substances as biostimulants under abiotic stress and bacterial strains interacting with plant responses to saline soils.

Our group works in the field of agricultural chemistry. The group is actively involved in monitoring soil functionality and development and, more recently, in testing the performance of soil biostimulants. Facilities at our section range from basic lab spaces and instruments up to advanced techniques like ICP-OES or -MS. The lab is one of the few in the world providing high-level standards of humic substances, which are marketed on a global scale.
